PLYMOUTH — Audrie Mae (Hensley) Wright, 86, Oakhill Avenue, Plymouth, formerly of Argos, died at 6:25 p.m. Monday, Dec. 20, 2010 at Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth, following a lengthy illness.
She was born Dec. 2, 1924 in Breathitt County, Ky. to Shelton and Zilla (Dyer) Hensley. She had lived in the Argos community since 1950 coming from Breathitt County, Ky.
She married Samuel Wright Oct. 30, 1943 in Breathitt County, Ky. and was a homemaker. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ, Argos.
She is survived by her children: Harold Wright and wife Joyce of Argos, Helen Epley of Kentucky, Sandy Schori and husband Ken of Argos, Wanda Lloyd and husband Fred of Culver, Rita Pennington and husband David of Argos, John Wright, Jack Wright and wife Sarah of Culver, Joe Wright of Florida, and Janice Wright of Kentucky; 32 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Beatrice Patrick and husband Manifee of Magoffin County, Ky., and Faye Duff and husband Carl of Argos.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Samuel Wright; two daughters, Lorena Fritters and Elizabeth Wright; son, Jammie Wright; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Della Wright; and brothers: Willard, Carl, John, and Clay Hensley.
Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Dec. 23 at the Church of Jesus Christ, 15676 Michigan Rd., Argos.
Funeral services will take place at noon Thursday at the church, with Rev. Lloyd Howard officiating.
Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos.
