Arthur W. Wagner
May 15, 1921-Nov. 7, 2011
LANCASTER, Calif. — Arthur W. Wagner was born in Plymouth, May 15, 1921.
He grew up a proud Hoosier and a Notre Dame fan. He loved flying, fishing and sports, especially football and golf. He sought a life and career with his passion, which was flying and airplanes. He spent 2 1/2 years in the Army Air Corps as a pilot during World War II. After the war, he moved to Lancaster, Calif., to continue his professional life as a test pilot and flight test engineer for North American (Boeing) at Edwards Air Force Base. After he retired he moved to Spring Hill, Fla. where he lived for most of his remaining years very happy and content.
He spent his final years back in California with his children, Danette Daley, 46, Roger Wagner, 51, both Lancaster, Calif. residents, and Scott Wagner, 48, of McKinleyville, Calif.
Art was a wonderful, intelligent, kindhearted, and considerate man who will be lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
