Argos draws at Wawasee

September 3, 2010

SYRACUSE — Despite a 2-1 shooting margin, Argos had to come from behind to salvage a 1-1 tie with Wawasee on the road Thursday.
Mallory Rondeau beat three Dragons and hit a great shot across the goal to give the hosts a lead midway through the first half.
“We missed several one-on-ones with the keeper in the first half and really had other great chances that just missed, said Argos head coach Jon Alcorn. “Wawasee is a huge team physically and with the strong wind behind them, we thought we just needed to get to the break without another goal. We were playing OK and we felt the luck would go our way in the second frame.”
