Area football teams not looking back in Week 5

September 16, 2010

BREMEN — Culver head coach Andy Thomas' message to his players is simple:
Don't look back.
After claiming their first win over New Prairie in a decade and moving to a 4-0 start for the first time in program history, the Cavaliers (4-0, 2-0 NSC) face a new test at Bremen (2-2, 1-1 NSC) this week. With the Lions starting to come into their own under first year head coach Bob Holmes, Culver can't afford a big game letdown.
"We need to focus 100 percent on Bremen. The past is over with," Thomas said. "The kids can feel good about it during the weekend and through Sunday night, but when they come to school Monday we need to move forward. If we do not, if we're still worrying about what we've done in the past, we're going to be in big trouble come Friday. We have to put 100 percent of our focus into Bremen. They're an outstanding football team."
