Annual CHoB golf fundraiser Sept. 29

September 18, 2012

BREMEN — It’s that time of year again for the annual Community Hospital of Bremen golf outing fundraiser.
Director of development for the hospital Lon Kipfer said that the event this year will fund the purchase of emergency room trauma carts.
“The proceeds are always designated to go toward the hospital for purchase of some type of equipment,” said Kipfer. “The goal is to raise about $10,000.”
The event is a four-man Florida Scramble format. There is a $10,000 cash prize for a hole-in-one, and other prizes for achievements such as longest drive and closest to the pin. Wings, Etc. of Plymouth is sponsoring the event, and they will do a catered lunch for all participants.
“We have a lot of avid golfers and people that would like to do golfing in the fall,” said Kipfer. “We are hoping for 36 teams. It’s a great, fun tournament and a great way to end the golf season. It’s just a lot of fun.”
The cost per team is $300, which includes 18 holes of golf, green fees, cart, and lunch. Registration begins the day of, Sept. 29, at 8 a.m., and there will be a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Those interested in pre-registering should contact Debbie at 574-546-8009 or Lon at 574-546-0500.
Sponsoring a hole is also possible for $200 or $300, with differing levels of promotion associated with each gift. The event will be held at Sprig O’ Mint golf course in Bremen.
