MISHAWAKA — Anna C. Van Poelvoorde, 90, passed away Sunday, May 26 at home.
Anna was born Jan. 12, 1923 in Combined Locks, Wis. as the daughter of Alphonse and Coleta (Dhoey) Smet. She was preceded in death by her parents.
On April 5, 1941 she married Maurice Van Poelvoorde who preceded her in death June 6, 2003. Surviving are her daughter, Beverly (Arthur) Conley of Plymouth; a sister, Clarice Fisher of Oakbrook, Ill.; four grandchildren, Joseph, Paul, David and Rachel and three great-grandchildren.
Anna enjoyed quilting, scrapbooking the history of Mishawaka, gardening and baking. She was a seamstress and a member of Piece Makers Quilting Club. Whatever she did, she did very well.
Visitation for Anna will be Thursday, May 30 from 4 to 7 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th St., Mishawaka. Funeral service will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Scott Yoder officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
