Anna Belle (Smith) Richard

PIERCETON â€” Anna Belle (Smith) Richard of 206 W. Tulip St., Pierceton, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012 at 6:40 p.m. at the age of 84.
She was born July 14, 1927 in Lakeville to William Smith and Pearl (Sousley) Smith. Feb. 9, 1945 in Lakeville, she was married to Dale Richard, who preceded her in death April 20, 2000.
Anna Belle was a resident of Kosciusko County for the past 49 years where she was a homemaker. She was a member of Walnut Creek United Methodist Church of Warsaw. She had been recently attending the Pierceton United Methodist Church, and was a member of the River City Gospel Choir in South Whitley.
She will be lovingly remembered by four sons: Ronald (wife Sara) Richard (Rising Sun); James (wife Carolyn) Richard (Bloomington); Hal Richard (Winona Lake); Jerry (wife Sheryl) Richard (Bloomington); two daughters: Gale (husband Dennis) Shireman (Delaware, Ohio); Dianna (husband Michael) Sellers (Pierceton). She also leaves behind nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister: Arlene Cohee (Lakeville). She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, and two great-grandchildren.
Her visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 17, 2012 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.
Her funeral service will be conducted Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Walnut Creek United Methodist Church, 2033 S. 150 W., Warsaw and officiated by Pastor Steve Ailes. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.
