MISHAWAKA — Ann Marie Monhaut, 48, died Friday, Nov. 16 at Michiana Health and Rehabilitation, Mishawaka.
Ann Marie was born Oct. 2, 1964 in South Bend to James Patrick and Theresa Mary (Schneider) Walsh. She was preceded in death by her father, James Patrick.
Nov. 23, 1990 in Mishawaka, she married William “Bill” Monhaut. Surviving are her mother, Theresa Mary (Frank) Freeman; her loving husband, Bill and their children, Joseph, Regina, James and Andrew Monhaut all living at home; her grandmother, Eunice Freeman; sisters, Mary Theresa (Russ) Stines and Margaret (John) Lyon; brothers, Patrick (Stacey) Walsh, James (Maria) Walsh and Matthew (Lisa) Walsh; her mother-in-law, Martha Monhaut, brothers-in-law, David, Tom (Elaine) and Phillip (Maria Elena) Monhaut; sisters-in-law, Louise (Larry) Keck and Loretta Negiz; her aunts, Margaret Mary Walsh, JoAnn Wensits and Joan Schindel and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Ann Marie was a music teacher. She was Director of Religious Education at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Bremen. She graduated from Penn High School and received her bachelor’s degree in music education from IUSB. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mishawaka. Ann Marie loved spending time with her family especially her children and she loved playing the clarinet for them. She was also a member of the Secular Franciscans.
Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 23 from 2 to 7 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th St., Mishawaka. A Vigil Service and Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. in the Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Nov. 24 at 10:30 a.m. with visitation one hour prior, in Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. Daniel Scheidt officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Wakarusa.
