Ancilla College hosts second annual ‘Tri Ancilla’ Sprint Triathlon
DONALDSON — Ancilla College’s second annual Tri Ancilla sprint triathlon was deemed a tremendous success as 110 participants from Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Nevada, Arkansas and New York converged upon Ancilla College and the PHJC Ministry Center on September 5.
Men and women, ranging in age from 13 to 85, participated in a 500-yard swim, 11-mile bike ride, and a 3.1-mile run that toured the Donaldson-based campus and surrounding areas.
“We were thrilled with the turnout for the second annual Tri Ancilla sprint triathlon, as we had a 32 percent increase in the number of participants over last year’s inaugural event,” said Todd Zeltwanger, Executive Director of Institutional Advancement at Ancilla College. “I would like to thank our 14 sponsors, nearly 50 volunteers, and the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ Ministry Center staff for their time and financial support to help make Tri Ancilla such an enjoyable experience for the participants.”
