Academies students part of opening ceremonies of World Equestrian Games

Members of the Black Horse Troop and Equestriennes practice for the opening ceremonies of the World Equestrian Games. The students will perform before 25,000 people at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Ky. Saturday evening, Sept. 25. This is the first time the World Equestrian Games have been held in the United States and segments will be broadcast nationally on NBC, starting Sunday, Sept. 26. This is the first time that members of the Troop and Equestriennes have performed as one unit. The Lancer Band will perform with the riders during an exhibition on Sunday, Sept. 26.
