3 vehicle crash shuts down U.S. 30 E.

October 25, 2012

PLYMOUTH — U.S. 30 East was closed for two hours this morning following a three-vehicle crash.
Corporal Ray West with the Plymouth Police Department, who responded to the scene, said that the driver of a pickup truck rear-ended a box truck, causing the box truck to hit a semi and flip over.
The driver of the pickup truck was airlifted to Memorial Hospital in South Bend with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the box truck was transported to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth.
The Marshall County Sheriff's Department also responded to the accident.
West said he does not know at this time why the driver of the pickup truck hit the other vehicle.
