1st Source relocates
Moving from the current Nappanee location, 1409 E. Market St., 1st Source Bank will be offering much more than great banking opportunities as an asset to the community. The bank is expanding to more than twice its current size, changing from only being accessible indoors to having two drive-up lanes, and adding interactive touch-screen capabilities for customer convenience.
Perhaps the biggest affect on the community will be along the west edge of the property between the new 1st Source Bank and the McDonald’s restaurant where a drive will allow traffic to enter and exit from U.S. 6 to the shopping plaza located behind both businesses. Groundbreaking for construction of the new facility was held last week and was attended by (from left): Steve Deranek, 1st Source Regional Sales Manager; Nappanee Mayor Larry Thompson; Bill Burton, 1st Source Regional President; Kami Bunch, 1st Source Banking Center Manager; Tim Stump, manager of the Nappanee Martin’s Supermarket; Bobby Gluck, overseeing construction thru ADM; Jeff Kitson, executive director of the Nappanee Area Chamber of Commerce; and Steve Bush, Manager of 1st Source Construction Projects.
