Couple celebrates 80th anniversary

WARSAW — Kenneth, 101, and Bonnie, 95, Gragg, 16 Henderson Drive, Warsaw, will celebrate their 80th wedding anniversary May 20.
Kenneth and the former Bonnie Smith were married May 20, 1933 at her parents’ residence in Etna Green by the Rev. Raymond Coon.
After the ceremony they celebrated with a dinner with the family.
The couple met in Etna Green, moved to Mentone and Kenneth worked for Manwarings.
Moving to Warsaw Kenneth farmed and worked for Sharps Hardware until they moved to Bremen.

INDIANAPOLIS — Dr. Darren L. Minnich, of Nappanee, is the new President-Elect of Indiana Optometry.
Dr. Minnich was inducted at the IOA’s 116th Annual Spring Convention in Indianapolis at the end of April.
Dr. Minnich graduated from the Ohio State University College of Optometry and has been in private practice since 1996. He received his certification from the National Board of Examiners for the treatment and management of Ocular Disease in 1996. He currently practices with the Nappanee Family Eyecare and Plymouth Family Eyecare facilities.

Woodview Elementary School first-grade student Jared Troyer was the winner of the PTO sponsored art contest.
Pictured are Mrs. Megan Jones, Woodview elementary’s art teacher, and Jared.
Jared received $50 and his art work was framed and it is hanging in the hall at the school with the past winners.
