The city has started hydrant flushings overnights through Thursday. Work hours are 10 p.m.-6 a.m. Residents may notice some discoloration of water in the early mornings. Be cautious when washing clothes with such water. There will also be some standing water in streets until it has time to drain, so be careful. The flushing at non-peak hours saves draining the water towers.
