Culver-Union Township Public Library will host former Plymouth resident and local author Marie Albertson Monday, May 20 at 1:30 p.m. to discuss her book, “Old Librarians Never Die; They Jump Out of Airplanes,” and the many world travels and exciting adventures of her senior years.

LMEC hosts free fishing classes June 1, 2

The Lake Maxinkuckee Environmental Council will hold free family fishing classes on June 1 and 2 to correspond with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources Free Fishing Weekend this year.

During Free Fishing Weekend, no fishing licenses are required on any public lake in the state. So if you are a kid who wants to learn, or a parent who needs to learn, or both, or even retired and wish you had learned when you were young, call now to reserve a space!

Culver High School reunion set for June 29

A reunion has been scheduled for Culver High School (CHS) alumni and former CHS students on Saturday, June 29, at the cafeteria for the Culver Community Schools Middle School/High School. Doors will open for the reunion at 6 p.m. and close at 9 p.m. The middle school is handicapped accessible.

The former CHS gymnasium will not be available this summer because of work on its heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system, but it should be available for the 2014 CHS reunion.
