Lions on verge of title as NSC meet suspended

May 15, 2014

WALKERTON — Bremen is on the verge of a Northern State Conference boys track championship.
But it hasn’t happened yet.
The Lions lead New Prairie, 136-127, with one event remaining in the league meet at John Glenn High School.
Horrid weather conditions forced suspension of the pole vault Wednesday night. Vaulters will gather at 5 p.m. today to finish up.
While New Prairie’s girls have wrapped up an NSC title — there is nothing anybody can do to catch them — the outcome of the boys contest is still up in the air.
