Warsaw hands Plymouth second loss in two days, 2-1

May 9, 2012

PLYMOUTH — For the second straight day Plymouth and Warsaw faced off on the baseball field and each day had the same result — a Pilgrim loss.
The Tigers’ pitching staff was excellent, holding Plymouth to only five hits and one run in the contest, a 2-1 Northern Lakes Conference loss.
The lone Pilgrim run came in the sixth inning off the bat of Jacob Seagraves. A leadoff walk to Chase Peters and a sacrifice bunt by Joe Knapp set the table for Seagraves. He grounded an Austin Moore breaking ball between the shortstop and third base and a hustling Peters just beat the throw to score.
