Plymouth keeps cruising
Plymouth’s wrestling team continued cruising in the Northern Lakes Conference with a comfortable 45-22 win on the road at Elkhart Memorial Thursday night.
The Rockies won nine of their matches, including pinfall wins by Corey Wallace, Drew Dodson, Jesus Rebollo and Nolan Wright. Triston Rodriguez, Jeremy Splix and Aaron Houin all won by major decision, meanwhile, as Plymouth moved to 6-0 in the NLC and 17-1 overall after finishing second at the John McKee Memorial Invitational at Rochester over the weekend.

Cancellations to tonight’s games

The wintry conditions continued to play havoc with area sports schedules Wednesday.
At Argos, the girls basketball game with North Miami has been reslated for Jan. 28, while Tuesday’s boys game with Jimtown has been pushed back to Saturday at 2 p.m. at Argos. The boys basketball game with Winamac — originally scheduled for Dec. 20 — has been rescheduled for Saturday, Jan. 18 at Winamac.
Meanwhile at Plymouth, tonight’s girls basketball game at New Prairie has been postponed until Thursday with the same 6 p.m. JV start time.

Plymouth’s Cassi Quissell finished first in the all-around competition at the Elkhart Central Invitational with a score of 35 points as the Lady Pilgrims opened their gymnastics season Saturday.

Argos’ Taylor Ogle put up a team-high 32 points over two games while running the point for the Dragons as they finished second at the Winter Classic Tournament over the weekend.

Argos takes 2nd at Winter Classic
Argos’ boys basketball team wound up second at the Winter Classic with a 49-45 loss to Winamac Saturday at West Central.
Taylor Ogle dropped 19 points to lead the Dragons, while Dominic Cataldo finished with 12 points.
Winamac was paced by Colin McGee’s 13 and Parker Fox’s 12 in the win.

Tonight's Bremen bball game cancelled

Tonight's Bremen boys basketball game at Washington Township has been cancelled.
The Lady Lions' game with Knox, originally scheduled for Dec. 20, has been rescheduled for Thursday, Jan. 30 at 6:30 p.m.

BHS girls soccer mini camp

January 3, 2014

BREMEN — The Bremen High School girls soccer team is conducting a mini soccer camp for girls in grades 3-8, on Sat. March 1 and Sat. March 8, from 8 a.m. until noon, in the BHS main gym.
The mini camp will cover dribbling, passing, and trapping fundamentals, headers, throw-ins, and more. A free parent “Soccer 101” session will be conducted at the close of each session from 11 a.m. to noon.

Girls basketball
Argos wins at MC Marquette
Results are in from last Monday’s contest between Argos and Michigan City Marquette.
The Lady Dragons jumped out to a 23-8 lead in the first frame and never looked back in a 59-24 romp of Marquette.
Amanda Middleton scored 11, Val Rospopo and Courtney Dunlap each scored nine and Libby Moyer put up eight as 11 different Dragons made the scoring column en route to their seventh win.
Marquette was led by Sanoyah Johnson’s 14 as the Blazers slid to 4-6.
