Early Monday morning, dozens of officers from area police agencies in Marshall County worked in collaboration to round up 21 individuals who were wanted on drug-related arrest warrants.
The Indiana State Police, in cooperation with the Plymouth Police Department, the Marshall County Sheriffâ€™s Department and the Bremen Police Department, spent the better part of the early morning hours going door to door in search of the wanted individuals.
PLYMOUTH â€” Things are going well, even in difficult economic times.
That was the message in Plymouth Mayor Mark Senterâ€™s â€śState of the Cityâ€ť address to the Common Council in its session last night.
Senter began his message praising the patience of Plymouth residents and the work of city employees.
In particular, Senter praised Plymouth Clerk-Treasurer Toni Hutchings for providing the city with a third straight balanced budget.
LAKEVILLE â€” The first time for an event can be the toughest, but the elements may have provided an even tougher obstacle to Newton Parkâ€™s Snoccer event this weekend.
â€śWe had people asking us if we knew how tough it was to kick a ball in the snow â€”Â especially when it just stopped right where you kicked it,â€ť said Irish Saunders of Hoosier Tire, one of the eventâ€™s organizers. â€śWe ended up cutting down the time for a half to 15 minutes because it was so tough, but everybody had a great time and it was a great event.â€ť

BLOOMINGTON â€”Â Timothy Wade SidneyÂ Estep, 21, of Bloomington, died at 10:19 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011 as the result of a motor vehicle accident.Â
He is survived by his mother, Brenda Cook of Rochester; father, Tim Cook of Ashland, Ala.; brother, Ace Cook of Rochester; son,Â DeVon Estep of Kokomo; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

FORT WAYNE â€”Â Larry W. Betz, 64, of Fort Wayne, passed away Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011.
Born April 9, 1946, in Auburn, he was an Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Larry worked as an electrician at B.F. Goodrich for more than 46 years.
He is survived by a son, David A. Betz of Northville, Mich.; mother, Kathryn Betz of Butler; and a brother, Marlin (Karen) Betz of Plymouth, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dianna (she died in 1981); and father, Marion Betz.

PLYMOUTH â€”Â AustinÂ Conley, 80, of North Street, Plymouth, passed away at 12:41 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, at his home.Â
Austin was born Feb. 2, 1931, in Salyersville, Ky., to Gus and Martha (Conley) Conley.Â The Conley Family moved to Plymouth in 1936.Â Austin married Flora MacLain Nov. 19, 1972, in Argos, Ind. Flora passed away Dec. 30, 2010.
Austin retired from American Cabinet Company as mill room carpenter.Â He also had worked for Ritz-Craft, in Argos, and the Plymouth Dairy.Â

PLYMOUTH â€” Landen Sarabia, 15-month-old son of Martin and Savannah Nick Sarabia, died at 11:21 a.m. Friday, Feb. 25, 2011 in Memorial Hospital, South Bend.
Landen was born in Plymouth Nov. 8, 2009. Landen was born a very happy baby.

DONALDSON â€” Sister Cecelia Bianchino, 84, died in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth, at 5:56 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011.
Born in Chicago, Ill., Sept. 29, 1926, she was the daughter of Daniel and Josephine Inorio Bianchino. She entered the convent Oct. 11, 1950, and took her final vows as a Poor Handmaid of Jesus Christ June 25, 1953.
CULVER â€” Culver-Union Township Public Library will continue its session of free computer classes in March. Classes will be held Monday evenings at 6 p.m. and Friday mornings at 10 a.m. and will last two hours. These are hands-on classes and the library will provide computers. Those with their own laptop are welcome to bring it to the classes.
Microsoft Excel will be offered Monday, March 7 at 6 p.m. and Friday, March 11 at 10 a.m.
Microsoft PowerPoint will be offered Monday, March 14 at 6 p.m. and
Friday, March 18 at 10 a.m.
ARGOS â€” Kindergarten roundup for Argos Elementary School will be Tuesday, March 8, in the elementary gym. Parents can arrive anytime between 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The school will be offering full-day kindergarten again for the 2011-12 school year. For a child to be eligible for kindergarten he/she must be five years of age on or before Aug. 1, 2011.
