LAFAYETTE â€”Â Aaron D. Miller, 32, of Lafayette, died at 11:17 p.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth East.
Born March 14, 1979 in Plymouth, he was the son of Robert Douglass Miller and Pamela Hartz Miller. He was a 1997 graduate of Culver Community High School and a 2001 graduate from the School of Technology at Purdue University.
He married Amanda Hart July 4, 2009 in Dayton at the Dayton United Methodist Church and she survives.

ROCHESTER â€”Â Lois Ann Weiske, 81, Rochester, passed away at 2:46 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2012 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
Lois Ann was born Aug. 2, 1930 in Rochester, the daughter of Dr. Cecil and Fanny (Conn) Gilger. She graduated from Rochester High School in 1948. She learned to play golf as a child and enjoyed it for many years. She attended DePauw University where she was a member of Delta Zeta social sorority, the marching band and concert orchestra. Aug. 28, 1949 in Rochester, she married Orville A. Weiske.

HAMMOND â€” The Purdue University Calumetâ€™s womenâ€™s basketball team led the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference with five players on the all-conference team, as the CCAC announced its postseason awards.
Plymouth High School grad Alex Starr, Stephaine Beck and Brooklyn Short all earned First Team All-CCAC recognition, while Amanda Gaskin and Kami Graber were named to the All-CCAC Second Team.

Lincoln stays unbeaten at LaVille super duals
The Lincoln Junior High wrestling team went 5-0 at the Laville â€śKing of the Matâ€ť super duals Saturday. The young Rockies stayed perfect on the season at 18-0 with the win.
Lincoln defeated opponents by wide margins all day long, beating North Judson 117-12, Schmucker 76-30, Tippecanoe Valley 120-9 and LaVille 76-40. Lincolnâ€™s boys accomplished their goal of beating traditional power and Penn high school feeder Schmucker, but unfortunately Discovery â€” another Penn feeder â€” scored more team points in Pool play than Lincoln.
PLYMOUTH â€” Jasmine White, 23, of Plymouth, was driving a red Jeep with several other passengers around 2:30 a.m. Saturday when she struck the front of the Plymouth Fire Station, causing pillars and an overhang over the front door to fall down. White and her passengers fled the scene on foot, but White was later apprehended and booked in the Marshall County Jail for leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
Plymouth police chief Jim Cox estimated that White had caused several thousand dollars worth of damage to the fire station.
PLYMOUTH â€” Mayor Mark Senter announced at Monday's city council meeting that he had chosen Rodney Miller as Plymouth's new fire chief. Miller will replace Andy Metsker, who resigned earlier this month.
When asked later why he chose Miller, Senter replied simply: "Experience. His 22 years on the job is very important. I believe that like Andy, (Miller) will lend a quiet leadership to the job and I look forward to working with him."
Miller was a volunteer firefighter in Argos before joining the Plymouth Fire Department in 1990 as a full-time employee.
STARKE CO. â€” Indiana Conservation Officer Keith Wildeman was contacted by two fishermen who made a surprising discovery on the Kankakee River in Starke County Sunday. Jeff Brewer and his father Steve Brewer discovered a dead alligator stuck in a logjam about 2 miles downstream from the English Lake public access site. The Brewers had just launched their boat and were heading out for an afternoon of fishing when Jeff spotted the foot and tail of the alligator sticking out of the water.
