Ferguson made the announcement at the Christmas party this month for all of employees and families from the Plymouth plant.
Ferguson said the quality and work ethic of the employees at the Plymouth location is prompting him to move the headquarters here.
Ferguson, who is originally from Plymouth, said, “This is an opportunity to pay forward.”
PLYMOUTH — Executive director of Marshall County United Way Linda Yoder said Wednesday that the organization is at about 50 percent of this year’s campaign goal of $475,000.
“We are still asking everyone we know to help support United Way and the agencies that are counting on us to provide support for their next year,” said Yoder.
Once again, a steady stream of children filed past toy-covered tables during the Lakeville Lions-LaPaz Lions Toys for Tots distribution day Dec. 17 — but this year there was more room to maneuver thanks to the new location in the Newton Center.

Culver's Wesley United Methodist Women's Thrift Shop has wrapped up another successful year, including providing a host of holiday-related items (at half-price the latter part of December) leading up to Christmas.
Of course, the store always offers just about anything you can imagine: there are books, games, dishes, hats, gloves and fancy sweaters. The profits from the shop go to support missions of the United Methodist Women projects there in Culver, in the area, the United States and throughout the world.

ROCHESTER — Success in the football season meant a slow start for Bremen in the wrestling season, but the Lions finally seemed to be taking off Friday.
Led by Abraham Hall’s championship at 285, Bremen wrestlers captured three top three finishes and salvaged another five top-seven finishes after early losses to lift the Class 2A Lions to a fifth-place team finish at the 16-team John McKee Memorial Wrestling Tournament at Rochester Friday.
NORTH JUDSON — Class 2A No. 6 North Judson got off to a slow start and led by just three points at the half, but the Bluejays used a strong second half to remain unbeaten versus LaVille.
Judson opened the third quarter on a 10-0 run and put up 37 points after the break while holding the visiting Lancers to only 12 in a 67-39 win at Judson Friday.
LaVille head coach Michael Edison said North Judson’s Kendall Hochstedler made the difference in the game the second half.
