PLYMOUTH ‚ÄĒ Identity theft is one of the fastest growing crimes today.
People are exposed to identity theft almost daily and are often unaware of their risk. Even in Marshall County, false IDs and stolen Social Security numbers are bought and sold.
Sometimes even with preventative measures in place, a person can still become a victim, and may not discover it until much damage has been done. If someone discovers that you are a victim, what should you do?

CULVER ‚ÄĒ¬†Mary G. ‚ÄúTiny‚ÄĚ Wildes, 87, of Culver died at 10:55 a.m. Nov. 5, 2010 at Miller‚Äôs Merry Manor in Culver.
Mary was born to Vincent Roppolo and Lina Rizzo on Oct. 27, 1923 in Gary. She graduated from Emmerson High School. She was married Nov. 24, 1945 at St. Anthony‚Äôs Rectory in Gary to Charles ‚ÄúTed‚ÄĚ Wildes. Together they raised five children. Ted preceded her in death in 1999.
Mary was a member of St. Mary‚Äôs of the Lake Catholic Church in Culver. She was¬†a very good cook. Mary will be greatly missed by many.

PLYMOUTH ‚ÄĒ¬†Jason Eugene Hundt, 27, Plymouth, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010 at his residence.
He is survived by his wife, Erin; daughter, Rilynn Hundt of Plymouth; son, Ryen Hundt of Plymouth; parents: Larry Hundt of Plymouth and Ginger Millette of Memphis, Tenn.; sister, Stefanie Hundt of Plymouth; and a brother, Chad Peltz of Cape Girardeau, Mo. Also, his mother and father-in-law: Nancy and Kevin Ames.
Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10 at New Oakhill Cemetery Chapel, Plymouth.

BREMEN ‚ÄĒ¬†Madge Elinor Smith, 87, of Bremen, passed away Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010 surrounded by her loving family at the Bremen Health Care Center.¬†
Madge was the daughter of Welcome and Bernice (Berg) Huff, born June 23, 1923.¬†She married Richard E. Smith Sept. 23, 1945, who survives.

PLYMOUTH ‚ÄĒ¬†Opal C. Richter, 98, of 9th Road, Plymouth, passed away Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, at 5:30 p.m., in Bremen Health Care Center, Bremen.
Opal was born Jan. 3, 1912, in Tyner, to Walter and Stella (Jones) Killian. Archie Schultz and Opal were married in 1928. Archie passed away in 1987. Opal married T.K. Richter in 1990. T.K. passed away in 2001. Opal worked for 16 years at the Teegarden Nursing Home in the kitchen and also as a nurse‚Äôs aid.

ARGOS ‚ÄĒ¬†Celia M. Beehler, 86, a lifetime Marshall County resident, died at 6:15 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, in Miller‚Äôs Merry Manor, Plymouth.
The daughter of Edward and Orpha P. Jackman Harsh, Celia was born in Marshall County Oct. 21, 1924. She was a 1942 graduate of Plymouth High School and graduated from nurse‚Äôs training in 1946.
Dec. 7, 1952, Celia became the bride of Arden E. Beehler in Inwood. Arden preceded her in death June 29, 1995.
Celia had worked at Marshall County Parkview/Holy Cross Hospital in Plymouth, retiring in November of 1986.

PLYMOUTH ‚ÄĒ Respected businessman and co-founder of Aker Plastics Co. Inc., Donald Eugene Aker, known by many as GaGee, 79, a lifelong resident of Plymouth, passed away of natural causes in his home surrounded by family at 7:45 a.m. Monday, Nov. 8, 2010.
Don was born Jan. 10, 1931 in Plymouth to Jesse and Ruth (Markley) Aker. He graduated from Plymouth High School in 1949. He was a 12-letter athlete and an all-state quarterback.¬†
In 2006, he was honored by Plymouth High School and received the Distinguished Alumni Award.

Esther E. Oliver, 94, died of natural causes in Pilgrim Manor, Plymouth, Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, at 12:10 p.m.
Born in Chicago, Esther was the daughter of Axel and Tekla Tengelin Carlson Larson.
Raised in Mount Greenwood, Ill., she went to the Mount Greenwood school through the eighth grade. She dropped out of school during the Great Depression to get a job as a nanny for a local family.

MUNCIE ‚ÄĒ¬†Helen Grace Behmer Hess, age 92, formerly of Argos, passed away Nov. 7, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Westminster Village Nursing Home, Muncie.
She was born on the Behmer homestead in Union Township near Culver, on Sept. 4, 1918, the fifth of seven children to Harold Eugene and Jessie Alice (Grove) Behmer. She and Gerald, her husband, were lifelong residents of Marshall County until age and health concerns found them reluctantly leaving the area to join their daughter in Pennsylvania in 2001 and then making another move to Muncie, during 2007.
PLYMOUTH ‚ÄĒ Marshall County will begin the search for a new Human Resource Deputy position in the Marshall County Auditor‚Äôs Office.
The Marshall County Council voted unanimously to recommend that the position be refilled taking the recommendation of the Marshall County Commissioners and Marshall County Attorney Jim Clevenger, along with Auditor Penny Lukenbill.
