PLYMOUTH â The box of directions and maps is sitting on top of the coat rack at Christosâ Family Dining, just waiting for someone looking for an adventure.
Walking the Lincoln Highway, sponsored by the Indiana Volkssport Association (part of the larger American Volkssport Association or AVA) is a group of five different walking routes (chose from 5K or 10K) in Valparaiso, Warsaw, Columbia City, Fort Wayne and Plymouth.
PLYMOUTH â It was deja vu all over again as the big inning made all the difference in each of Plymouthâs losses at its home regional Saturday.
At the end of a back-and-forth battle between Post 27 and South Bend Post 50 in an extra-inning contest at Bill Nixon Field Saturday morning, South Bend tied it up in the bottom of the ninth on a two-out, two-strike RBI single by Alex Kohler and took the lead for good with a seven-inning 10th frame to trump Plymouth 18-13.
When you hear the name Mozart, you might associate it with words such as âchild prodigy,â âclassical music,â or âtalented composer.â
But for 21 Culver Academies students, the name Mozart will yield the sights and sounds of Salzburg, Austria â home of the Mozart International Choral Festival. On June 28, the students and five adults departed the United States en route to Salzburg, Austria, where they were invited to sing in the second annual Mozart International Choral Festival.
PLYMOUTH â One down, two to go.
James Hackworth pitched a three-hit gem, and Plymouthâs modified lineup produced 14 hits as Post 27 dimed Highland Post 180 12-1 in an abbreviated seven-inning contest in the first round of American Legion Baseball Regional action Friday night at Bill Nixon Field.
Plymouth will take on South Bend Post 50 â which topped Bristol Post 143 11-1 in eight innings in the regional opener Friday â at 1 p.m. Saturday.
Another HooÂsier literary legÂend associated with Lake MaxÂinkuckee will be celebrated Saturday, July 30, starting at 11 a.m., when James WhitÂcomb Riley (or, to be exact, perÂformer Henry Ryder paying tribute to Riley in dress, style, and speech) visÂits the area.
