He is survived by his sons, Shawn Froehling of North Ridgeville, Ohio and Christofer Froehling of Valparaiso; a granddaughter; brother, Robert Froehling of Wood River, Ill.; and sisters: Katy Beam of Star City, Ellen Taylor of Hebron, Judy Dinkleman of Phoenix, Ariz., Bobbie Giesler of Phoenix, Ariz., Marie Cannon of Kouts, and Johanna Stayton of Argos.Â

NORTH JUDSON â Zoe Bauer said he wasnât even thinking about the scoring record. The Culver senior preferred to take a back seat to the Cavaliersâ front line Tuesday.
In the end, he got the record anyway.
After putting up 10 points in the opening frame to push his team to a 15-10 lead at the quarter break, Bauer was mostly quiet in the second and third frames, dishing out six assists as the Cavaliers pounded the ball in the paint to take a double digit lead at the half and build to a 36-24 advantage headed into the final frame.
NORTH JUDSON â It was an all-too familiar theme for the Lancers.
Already on a two-game skid after a 3-0 start to the season, high turnovers plagued LaVille a third straight game, and the result was their third straight loss as the Lancers fell 77-61 to undefeated North Judson-San Pierre at the North Judson Winning Edge Holiday Basketball Tournament Tuesday.
ARGOS â Argosâ girls basketball team suffered through one of those nights where almost nothing went right.
The Dragons shot just 29.6 percent from the field ââ of 12 from 3-point range â struggled to an 11-of-23 finish from the charity stripe, and got out-boarded by 11 in a 57-45 loss to Kankakee Valley in the Winter Classic first round Tuesday at Phil Weybright Gymnasium.
Kankakee Valley advances to Thursdayâs title tilt against Rochester at 6:30 p.m., while Argos meets West Central in the consolation round, also Thursday, at 6:15 p.m. Both games are at Argos.
ARGOS â Knox defense was the key to the defeat of Argos in Round 1 of the Winning Edge Winter Classic, but it was really Redskins Josh Risner and Elliott Coadâs teamwork that unlocked Knoxâs full power.
The Redskinsâ in-your-face defense held the Dragons to just seven points in the second half for a 45-26 win that carried the Redskins to the championship game of the tournament to be held Thursday at Argos.
Todd Boldry, head coach for Knox, said he knew defense was going to make or break his team all night.
PLYMOUTH â The city of Plymouth moved to put the final touches on the books for 2010 giving Plymouth Clerk-Treasurer Toni Hutchings the permission to make transfers necessary to finalize budget items for the year.
The Council also passed a more formal resolution Monday allowing the city to transfer funds temporarily from the City Development Fund to the EDA (United States Economic Development Administration) Tech-Farm Fund for cash flow purposes.
PLYMOUTH â The city of Plymouth has a new ordinance for its sewer system, but two other ordinances will have to wait.
An ordinance for the cityâs pretreatment sewer program was enacted after passing second and third reading by the Plymouth Common Council Monday. The ordinance brings the city in line with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Indiana Department of Environmental Management standards for cities with pretreatment programs.

PLYMOUTH â Tâwas the night before Christmas and all through the burb all the neighbors were hustling to light up their curb..
Christmas Eve is a flurry of activity at the Nutmeg Ridge subdivision in Plymouth. The residents take special delight in decorating their homes for Christmas each year, but they do not stop at just decorating their homes; each year on Christmas Eve, weather permitting, several residents get together and light up the streets of the entire subdivision with luminaries.
