WAKARUSA â€”Â Edith (Vance) Fuller went home to be with her Lord at the age of 98 at Millerâ€™s Merry Manor, Wakarusa Monday June 4, 2012 at 8:50 p.m.
Edith was born Aug. 16, 1913 in Claypool to Laymon and Emma (Thompson) Vance.
Edith grew up in the Claypool area on the family farm. She attended Hidie Elementary School of rural Claypool. She was a 1931 graduate of Claypool High School. Following graduation from high school Edith attended Manchester College.

MARSHALL CO. â€”Â An electric log splitter was taken from the property of Ryan Cox in the 300 block of U.S. 31 Thursday by an unknown suspect. The machinery is 42 inches in length with a red beam and blue hydraulic pump. Anyone with information about this theft should contact the Marshall County Sheriff's Department, 574-936-3187.
PLYMOUTH â€” Prepare to see the downtown cityscape transformed this Friday evening as shop owners put out special sales, art displays, and even some refreshments. The cityâ€™s â€śSecond Fridaysâ€ť summer events kick off this weekend, and many downtown shops will be staying open until 8 p.m. to accommodate attendees. The theme for the first event is â€śArt on the Streets.â€ť Visitors to downtown that evening can enjoy looking at art, meeting shop owners, and listening to soft jazz music playing through speakers outside.
PLYMOUTH â€” The biggest reunion of the summer takes place on June 15 as the Plymouth Alumni Association will host the annual Alumni Banquet at Plymouth High School starting at 6 p.m.
FORT WAYNE â€” After Triton beat out Warsaw in a fifth score tiebreaker for the sectional championship last year, the Tigers avenged the loss with a regional championship.
Last Friday, the Trojans lost out to Warsaw on a fifth score tiebreaker for the Warsaw Sectional title, and theyâ€™re hoping they can return the favor for last yearâ€™s regional meet as both teams take the field along with Culver Military Academy at Homestead Thursday.
PLYMOUTH â€” Aaron Myers, 23, of Bourbon, was arrested around 2:30 Tuesday morning after failing to pull over for Plymouth police officers. Myers was traveling southbound on Randolph Street from Plymouth-Goshen Trail and did not stop for police. His vehicle eventually crashed on Randolph Street south of Baker Street. Further investigation led officers to believe that Myers was under the influence of alcohol. Myers was lodged in the Marshall County Jail and has a Superior I court date of June 19, 2012.

ARGOS â€” Donna Loraine (Roberts) Martin, 60, died unexpectedly of natural causes at her Argos home Saturday, June 2, 2012.
She was born June 24, 1951 in McLeansboro, Ill. to Fred and Hazel E. (Mayberry) Roberts. She was raised in the care of her mother Hazel and Frank Gasner. The family settled in the Minnesota community of New Ulm. She graduated from high school there in 1969. She then attained an associate degree in accounting from Mankato Vocational Technical Institute.

PLYMOUTH â€”Â Helen LaVerne Richey, 91, of Plymouth, formerly of Walkerton, died Monday, June 4, 2012 at 12:15 a.m. in Millerâ€™s Merry Manor.
Visitation is Thursday, June 7 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth. Funeral services will be held immediately following visitation at 1 p.m. in the funeral home.
Burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Marshall County Humane Society, P.O. Box 22, Plymouth, IN 46563.
PLYMOUTH â€” Golf cart owners interested in cruising on county roads may soon be allowed to, according to Marshall County commissioners Monday morning.
County attorney Jim Clevenger advised commissioners Monday that he is revising a golf cart ordinance that would permit golf carts on certain county roads, mostly near area bodies of water.
â€śFor the most part, (these roads), are around the lakes in Marshall County,â€ť said Clevenger, adding, â€śAt this point, Iâ€™m just looking for any input you might have.â€ť
