William R. âBillâ Wagoner

PLYMOUTH â William R. âBillâ Wagoner was born in Warsaw, May 29, 1952, to Roland and Bertha Wagoner. He grew up in Bourbon and was the youngest of six children. He passed away at home in Plymouth Feb. 3, 2011, after a brave battle with cancer.Â

BOURBON â Gary J. Collins, 49, of Bourbon, died at 5:45 a.m. Friday, Feb. 4, 2011 at Kosciusko Community Hospital, of natural causes.
PLYMOUTH â Plymouth held an impromptu invitational Monday.
With last weekâs weather wreaking havoc on area schedules, Plymouthâs boys swim team found itself having to make up a snowed-out three-way meet with Bremen and Culver Military on top of another three-way with Knox and Tippecanoe Valley. The result was sometimes confusing, but the Pilgrims got it done, topping both Knox and Tippecanoe Valley 99-48-36 and splitting with winner CMA and third-place Bremen in their three-way 97-61-28.
ROCHESTER â Plymouth will jump right into the fire as the Class 3A Rochester Sectional opens tonight at 7 p.m.
The three-peat defending champion Lady Pilgrims take on the arguable tournament favorites in Culver Girls Academy, and the Eagles are hoping for revenge after taking a 51-38 loss at the hands of Plymouth at last yearâs tilt.
The Culver Lake Fest committee encourages residents to thinkâŠsummer! Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 15 through 17, the 28th annual âCulver Lake Festâ will âHonor Our Heroes.â
Mike Overmyer, Lake Fest Committee President, said, âWe are very excited about this yearâs theme, and we want to pay tribute to the heroes that live and have worked in our community and just say thanks for their service to our country.â

PLYMOUTH â The Plymouth Public Library is hosting a Monopoly Tournament Friday, Feb. 11 for students in grades sixth through twelfth. There is no cost to attend. Prizes will be awarded and pizza, pop and snacks will be served. Register before Thursday, Feb. 10 at 8 p.m. in person at 201 N. Center St. or online at www.plymouth.lib.in.us.

ROCHESTER â Culver head wrestling coach Mike Buschman was hoping his heavyweight could find something to hang his hat on at regionals.
How about a championship?
Culver 285er Jeremiah Harvey surprised the field, handing undefeated Plymouthâs tourney favorite and IndianaMat.com No. 2-ranked Damon Howe a quarterfinal upset, then following up with a dramatic double-overtime pinfall win over Pennâs Kade Maggart in the championship at the Rochester Individual Wrestling Regional Saturday.
BREMEN â Bremen led 24-21 at the half, but Tanner Foust took over after the break as Fairfield claimed a 58-43 win over the Lions at Bremen Saturday.
Foust went 6 of 7 from the field in the second half for 16 of his game-high 24 points. His alley-oop layup at the 5:32 mark of the third frame put the Falcons up for good.
âHe was kind of in the rhythm, and he was finding little seams and things,â said Fairfield head basketball coach John Wysong. âWe didnât tell him anything special (at halftime), just try to keep even-keel.â
LAKEVILLE â Last year, LaVille knocked Triton off its undefeated and sole possession of the Northern State Conference lead perch.
This time around the Lancers spent the first 30 minutes acting like a pesky fly that just kept buzzing around the Trojansâ heads, but a late push propelled Class A No. 2 Triton to a 69-59 NSC win at Dale E. Cox Gymnasium Saturday.
With the win, the Trojans enjoy a one-game edge in the league loss column with two games to play.
