Argos' Jami Patterson dives for a ball while Culver Community's Tatum Schultz is tripped up during a girls basketball game earlier this season.
A few weeks ago, Culver resident Hank Bilsland defended photographs he’d commissioned of wind turbines placed at Lake Winnebago in Wisconsin following a suggestion by Culver town council member Ralph Winters that the photos could have been digitally enhanced to give the turbines a more ominous appearance. At last week’s regular town council meeting, Winters revisited the debate with a set of photographs he’d taken himself at the same site, accompanied by wife Barbara on what he called a “road trip” the two recent undertook to the Wisconsin site.
PLYMOUTH — Plymouth turned up the tempo in the third quarter, and the Pilgrims ran away with the win in a 47-26 victory over Rochester Friday.
An 11-8 second quarter by the Zebras knotted the score at 15-all at the half, but Plymouth cranked up its intensity on the defensive end while showing greater patience in the offensive halfcourt to outscore the visitors 18-3 in the third frame and take a 34-18 advantage into the fourth period. The Pilgrims gapped the Zebras by 20 with 4:44 to go and coasted to the win at home at The Rock.
BREMEN — Bremen’s boys basketball team dug just too big of a hole in its season opener against Goshen Friday night.
