Davis competed in her second Valparaiso Gymnastics Regional Friday as Plymouth earned its first team berth to the meet since 2007 with a third-place finish at the Wawasee Sectional last weekend.

PLYMOUTH â€” Triton and Plymouth high schools will be taking donations to help raise funds for the Indiana High School Athletic Associationâ€™s â€śHoosiers for Henryville â€” An Opportunity to Rebuild Henryville Athleticsâ€ť at the two schoolsâ€™ Class 3A and Class A boys basketball regionals Saturday.
PLYMOUTH â€” Marshall County Prosecuting Attorney David R. Holmes determined that there was justification in the police shooting that resulted in the death of Mark S. Albright, 62, at 8:40 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23.
Consequently, no criminal charges will be filed against any officer involved in the incident.
The results of an extensive investigation by the Indiana State Police establish that an Argos Police officer received a telephone call about a possible intoxicated driver with a description of the vehicle as a red Dodge pickup truck.

He is survived by his wife, Brittney; children, Honey Kirk and Phoenix Kirk, both of Knox; parents, Rick and Rebecca Kirk of North Judson; three brothers, Ryan (Tara) Kirk, Joshua Kirk and Jeremy Kirk, all of North Judson and grandparents, Eileen Law of Hobart, Wallace Law of Lake Station and Robert Kirk of Madison.Â

ARGOS â€”Â Donald R. Risner, 83, of Argos, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. at home in the care of his loving family. He had been in failing health.
Don was born May 25, 1928 at Charleston, W.Va. to Isaac Risner and Dora Busby Risner.Â
He has been a resident of the Etna Green and Bourbon area the past 62 years. Don served in the United States Army during World War II from 1946â€“1947 and then finished his GED after his tour of duty.

WARSAW â€” Ruth Irene Miller, 97, formerly of South Bend residing the last three years in Warsaw, passed away at 1:43 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2012 in Millerâ€™s Merry Manor - Warsaw.
She was born in Noblesville, May 30, 1914 to the late Harry Alva and Delia Eva (Pitts) Smeltzer. May 4, 1936 in Culver, Irene married Culver W. Miller, who preceded her in death July 26, 1965.

ROCHESTER â€”Â Pastor Dave Terhune, 62, of Manitou Park Road, Rochester, passed away at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at his residence.
Don Gray, 82, from Argos bangs down the gavel for his last auction Sunday, Feb. 26 at his Ten Pin Auction Service building on Lilac Road in Argos. Don got his auction license after graduating from the Reppert Auction School in 1952. Don said with a chuckle â€śI had to auction off a garden hoe as part of my class.â€ť His first official auction was household goods and personal property from a house owned by E.G. Dubley in the 500 block of North Michigan Street in Plymouth. The house no longer stands there. He has had more than 3,000 auctions during his 60 years as auctioneer.

Lincoln closes regular season at perfect 20-0
The Lincoln Junior High wrestlers closed their regular season at an unblemished 20-0 as they defeated their rivals from Lakeview Warsaw by a score of 93-18 on Tuesday night.
Most of the boys wrestled well, but three matches in particular stood out as Cody Allmon at 95 pounds, Triston Rodriguez at 115 pounds and Colton Schuler at 155 pounds all wrestled tough opponents but still pulled out victories for the young Rockies.
