PLYMOUTH â€”Â Catherine Bradfield Olson, 87, a long time resident of West Township and Plymouth passed away Friday, Feb. 9, 2012, at Millerâ€™s Merry Manor in Plymouth.
Catherine was born Nov. 26, 1924 in Mishawaka to Richard and Orpha Hoover Burkett.
Oct. 30, 1943, Catherine married Virgil Bradfield, who preceded her in death in 1972. She later married Clarence Olson, Nov. 15, 1975 who preceded her in death June 19, 2011.

PLYMOUTH â€”Â Eloise Runkle, 83, a Plymouth resident since 1988, coming from Rochester, passed away at 1 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 2012 at Millerâ€™s Merry Manor, Culver.
The daughter of Rev. Roy R. and Blanche R. Cochran Alexander, Eloise was born Jan. 26, 1929 in Hartford City. She was a 1947 graduate of Roll High School.
Feb. 21, 1965 in South Bend, Eloise married Charles Runkle.Â Charles died Jan. 2, 1985.
Bremenâ€™s Abe Hall won the heavyweight championship in double overtime at the Merrillville Wrestling Semistate Saturday.
Culver Academiesâ€™ Kayla Miracle became the first female state qualifier in the history of the IHSAAâ€™s 75-year state wrestling series with a fourth-place finish at the Merrillville Semistate Saturday.
HAMLET â€” It was a rematch that Oregon-Davis had been thinking about a long time.
Triton unseated the four-peat sectional champion Lady Cats at last yearâ€™s Sectional 51 championship game, and Saturday, No. 4 OD repaid the favor, rallying past the No. 7 Lady Trojans for a 53-47 championship win to dethrone Triton and retake the crown on the Catsâ€™ home floor at The Den.

Bremenâ€™s Abraham Hall won the heavyweight championship in double overtime, and Culver Academiesâ€™ Kayla Miracle became the first female wrestler to earn an IHSAA state berth with a fourth-place finish at the Merrillville Wrestling Semistate Saturday.
HAMMOND â€” Plymouth alum Alex Starr became the 15th member of Purdue University Calumetâ€™s 1,000-point club on Saturday afternoon, but her biggest highlight of the day came with 37 seconds left as her three-pointer helped lift the Peregrines to a 77-73 victory over Trinity International.
Starr led all scorers with 23 points, needing less than two minutes to become the fifth player during the Tom Megyesi era to score 1,000 career points with the first of her five three-pointers on the day.
COLUMBIA CITY â€” The Lincoln Junior High wrestling team went 5-0 to win the Indian Springs Invitational Saturday.
After a slow start against Adamâ€™s Central (66-34), the boys improved drastically in the next three rounds by beating Lakeland 103-6, Garret 90-18, and East Noble 102-10. They closed out the day on a high note, defeating a tough Indian Springs squad 68-48.
In a day where the young Rockies were shorthanded due to illness and injury it was a total team effort that got the victory.
FRANKLIN â€” Allison Bayley, a 2010 graduate of Plymouth High School and former member of the PHS girls golf team, was named to the 2011 Tom Bohlsen Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Academic team as a golfer at Franklin College.
The Franklin Grizzlies Womenâ€™s Golf Team won the 2011 HCAC Golf Championship to earn an automatic qualification for the 13th annual NCAA Division III National Championship which will be played in Angola in May.
On Saturday, February 11, at approximately 8:40 p.m., a male subject was reported as entering the Family Dollar Store located 18701 S.R. 10 in Culver. Once inside the store the male subject approached the cashiers and displayed a weapon and bag then demand money from the cashiers at gunpoint.
