Glenn takes win over Pilgrims, 9-2

May 17, 2013

PLYMOUTH — As usual it was a playoff atmosphere at Bill Nixon Field for a match-up between Plymouth and John Glenn Friday.
The Pilgrims hope that it wasn’t a preview of next week’s sectional opener as they fell to the rival Falcons, 9-2.
The Pilgrims kept pace answering a pair of unearned third inning Glenn runs with a sac fly from George Stults and an RBI single from Elijah Nixon in the fourth. The floodgates came open in the Glenn fifth with a two-run double from Justin Giorlowski and a mammoth two-run homer from David Jawerski, and that would be enough for the Falcons.
