MARSHALL COUNTY â€” Incoming telephone lines to the Marshall County Sheriff's office which were reported to be out of service earlier this afternoon, have been repaired, according to an alert from the county.
911 calls were being routed to Kosciusko County until repairs could be made. For non-emergencies, call 952-3289.
PLYMOUTH â€” The Marshall County Board of Zoning Appeals denied a couple's special use application to open a banquet hall on their property. Anumber of neighbors opposed the application.
Several other requests were granted, including approval to operate home -based businesses and a request to build an outdoor structure at Swan Lake Resort.

PLYMOUTH â€” The Plymouth Community School Corp. confirmed that an investigation what they have termed administrative irregularities occurred at Menominee Elementary School last week. The school district did not elaborate on the scope of the irregularities, nor did they name the parties involved. A report will be sent to the state.

PLYMOUTH â€” Three people have been arrested and charged with attempted murder in relation to a shots fired incident in February outside the Economy Inn in Plymouth.

LAPAZ â€” Crews from close to a dozen local fire departments responded to a fire at a home in in the 14,000 block of 5C Road yesterday afternoon. An elderly occupant was pulled from the home before fire crews arrived on scene at about 3:30 p.m. The fire was so intense and required so much water, the road was damaged and will be repaired by Marshall County.
