PLYMOUTH - Two are in custody after a drug raid on a house on Washington Street in Plymouth yesterday.
Plymouth Police and Marshall County Sheriff's deputies served a warrant at the address near the city's downtown on Tuesday morning and made two arrests. At the home were Jamie Scott Wacasey, 34, of Plymouth and Karla Danille Felix, 27, also of Plymouth.

PLYMOUTH — Carl T. Seversen, 58, passed away in his residence at 6:19 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2013.
Carl was born to Theodore and Margaret (Mulligan) Seversen on Jan. 11, 1955 in Chicago, Ill. He grew up in the area and loved playing baseball and was in the Little League World Series.
After high school, Carl joined the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged as a staff sergeant after four years of service. He returned to Plymouth to start a family.

PLYMOUTH — Doris Jean Trump, age 87, Plymouth, passed away at 11 p.m., Sunday, April 28, 2013, at the IU Health Hospital in La Porte.

ROCHESTER — Vicki Lee Floor Reeser Bellamy, 58, of Rochester died Sunday, April 28 at Woodlawn Hospital.Â
She is survived by three sisters, Robyn (David) Burkett of Fayetteville, N.C., Yvonne (Pat) Richard of Crest City, Fla., Rosella Green of Rochester; and two brothers, Richard (Debbie) Reeser of Lowell, Mich., David (Alfreda) Reeser, Fayetteville.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, May 3 at the Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester. Visitation is from 1-4 p.m. Condolences may be made at www.goodfamilyfh.com.
PLYMOUTH — The new sectional alignments for the upcoming 2013-14 school year were approved by the IHSAA Executive Committee Monday, with Plymouth High School slated to see the biggest changes to its postseason schedule.
The new sectional alignments came in the wake of the school reclassifications finalized by the IHSAA in late June, which reclassed Plymouth into 4A tournament fields in baseball, softball, basketball and volleyball.
BOURBON — It’s not often that the coach of a rival conference team gives you a helping hand. But that seems to have been just what happened for Triton senior Shana Anderson.
When Holy Cross women’s basketball coach Aimee Niespodziany was on the lookout for guard prospects, New Prairie head coach Doug Matthys pointed her in the direction of repeat Northern State Conference-champion Triton’s backcourt. Niespodziany reached out to Lady Trojans coach Adam Heckaman for some tape, and when he obliged the Saints skipper found her next recruit in Anderson.

Lady Pilgrims beat Concord
Plymouth’s girls track team claimed a convincing 72.5-59.5 Northern Lakes Conference win over visiting Concord in a dual meet at home Tuesday.
The Lady Pilgrims saw most of their top finishes in the field events.
PLYMOUTH – The Ancilla College Golf Classic has sold out for the fifth year in a row with a full field of 40 teams, but the college is still looking for sponsors, Ancilla announced Tuesday.
“We work hard to put together a top-notch golf outing that everyone will enjoy,” said event organizer Tom Sibal. “Businesses in the area are very generous and make it possible for Ancilla College to put on a tournament that has everyone going home happy, no matter how they play.”
PLYMOUTH — In an invitation only meeting with members of the Plymouth and Culver Chambers of Commerce and a few local officials, Congresswoman Jackie Walorski listened, took notes and commented on local and regional concerns Tuesday afternoon in Plymouth.
It was the culmination of a 10-county, two-day ”Building Better Business” tour across her district to touch base with the business community.
ARGOS - As an Argos teen continues to fight for her life an entire community is rallying around her and her family.
Courtney DeMont was critically injured in a vehicle accident on Kenilworth Road on April 18. Since then Courtney has been in critical care slowly fighting back from her injuries, while the entire Marshall County Community has prayed for her recovery.
Courtney’s father Dan DeMont told friends and family yesterday that her recovery continues as doctors begin the weaning process to take her off a ventilator currently helping her breath.
