Glenn’s Tyler Prentkowski shot a 76 to beat out the rest of the field at Mystic Hills by four strokes and win the individual title at the Marshall County Meet Saturday.

CULVER — All things must end.
After six straight Marshall County Tournament Championships, Triton finally relinquished its hold on the county trophy Saturday, as Glenn carded a 340 to beat out the defending-champion Trojans by 11 strokes and take the tourney hardware home to Walkerton.
Bremen was third behind Triton with a 359, LaVille was fourth with a 364, CMA placed fifth with a 369, and host Culver Community rounded out the field with a 399 at Mystic Hills in Culver.

Bremen’s Atkins signs with Bethel basketball

BREMEN — Bremen senior Joey Atkins has signed a letter of intent to attend Bethel College, where he will continue his basketball career.
During his senior season at Bremen High School, Atkins was named captain and Most Valuable Player while leading the Lions in points, assists and 3-point percentage.

Plymouth competes
at Northridge
Plymouth’s boys track team lost both sides of a three-way Northern Lakes Conference meet with Northridge and Elkhart Memorial Thursday.
Michael Hartman earned wins in four different events, claiming the prize in the 100, the 200, the open 400 and in the 400 relay with Jack Barron, Taylor Fulton and A.J. Styers. Styers won the 300 hurdles, Fulton placed second behind Hartman in the 200, and Barron palced second in the individual 400 as Plymouth dominated the sprint events at the meet.

Pilgrims win at Wawasee, 2-0

SYRACUSE — Plymouth’s Pilgrims completed a very difficult feat in NLC baseball competition — a 2-0 win at Wawasee made it three straight wins away from home in conference play.
“I just tell the guys when you walk off the bus expect to win,” said Plymouth head coach Ryan Wolfe. “That’s got to be the mindset when you get off the bus. We’ve played well on the road; overall I think we’re 5-0. I don’t know what it is, but whatever it is let’s keep doing it.”

Plymouth outlasts Goshen in 17

PLYMOUTH — Plymouth’s Pilgrims and the Goshen Redskins started out trying to beat the rain for an NLC game at Bill Nixon Field on Monday night. In the end they were trying to beat the dawn.
When Brandon Milligan’s RBI single to right drove home Jarrod Ellis with the Pilgrims the winning run in a 3-2 final, it was after 10 p.m. and 17 innings after the start. The bottom line was 17 innings of outstanding pitching that resulted in 14 scoreless innings and 17 combined strikeouts from five pitchers in the game.

Bremen’s baseball team dropped an 11-5 decision to NSC foe New Prairie Monday night in Bremen.
Eric Knepper took the loss on the mound, his first of the year. He also doubled in the loss.
