PLYMOUTH — Two days after shaving 18 strokes off their front side score for a new nine hole season-low at Orchard Ridge, Plymouth’s boys golf team pared off another four strokes Monday.
But Mishawaka Marian’s Matt Rozyck’s posted a field-best even-par 36, and the Pilgrims’ season-best 157 fell a stroke short of the Knights as Plymouth split with Marian and John Glenn in a three-way meet at the Silver Course at Indiana National.
While Rozyck carded a 36 in the second flight for Marian, teammate Michael Makris came in just a stroke behind him at 37.
WARSAW — A good weekend turned into a blue Monday for Plymouth’s Pilgrims as they took the road to Warsaw to fall to the Tigers (9-7) by a 7-1 final in an NLC battle.
Splitting games in their annual weekend tourney with Ft. Wayne Wayne and Penn had Plymouth feeling good about heading into a long week of games, but Warsaw pitcher Jason Ferguson made that good feeling go away with a masterful performance on the mound for the Tigers.

PLYMOUTH — While Plymouth’s Pilgrims took a step forward, they still took only a split as they were able to shut out Fort Wayne Wayne by a 6-0 final but fell in the final to Penn 11-4 at their home tourney Saturday.
Ft. Wayne Wayne 0
Jacob Frantz was masterful in a four-hit shut out as Plymouth took a game one Plymouth Tourney win over Ft. Wayne Wayne (5-10) by a final of 6-0.
Plymouth wins LaPorte Tourney, sweeps Lowell
The Plymouth girls tennis team beat both South Bend Washington and host LaPorte 4-1 to win the LaPorte Tournament Saturday. The Lady Pilgrims capped off the busy day with a 5-0 shutout of Lowell.

DUNLAP – The story of Plymouth’s baseball season could be the story of one inning.
On the road Plymouth once again couldn’t overcome one big inning — a seven-run Concord second — in falling to the Minutemen by a 10-4 final. It was the second time this season Plymouth fell prey to a big Concord inning after the Pilgrims surrendered eight runs in the third inning of a 12-0 home loss to the Minutemen April 17.
The Minutemen (9-3) plated seven in the second off Plymouth starter Bailey Clark in his first start of the season.
BOURBON — The John Glenn Falcons played a near perfect game in all three phases as they routed the Triton Trojans 11-0 on the Trojans’ home turf Friday night.
Senior Mark Einhorn threw a one-hitter with nine strikeouts and one walk, with the lone hit not coming until the sixth inning, and the Falcons played solid defense behind him, not committing a single error in the game.
