PERU — The Plymouth High School gymnastics team wrapped up its season Thursday night at Peru in a four-way meet also featuring Marion and top 10-ranked Logansport.
Logan topped all three of the other teams by posting a 107.1, and Plymouth defeated Peru and Marion 100.5-79 and 100-86.5, respectively.
The Pilgrims were led by their state-ranked duo of sophomore Cassi Quissell and junior Nicky Davis.
Quissell placed third in every event except bars, where she captured a second behind the No. 7-ranked bars gymnast in the state, freshman Kelly Platt of Logansport.
PLYMOUTH — The Plymouth Athletic Department will be losing a Hall of Famer next month.
Assistant Athletic Director Mary Beth Hunter has been a part of Plymouth High School athletics since 1980. She was inducted into the Indiana High School Tennis Hall of Fame in 1995 as both a player and a coach.
PLYMOUTH — Plymouth’s boys basketball team received two first-team All Northern Lakes Conference selections and one honorable mention pick as the league announced its all-conference nominations Thursday.
Senior guard Joe Knapp and junior forward Mack Mercer were both named to the All-NLC first team, while senior guard David Lee was given all-conference honorable mention.
NorthWood juniors Jonathan Wilkinson and Zach Zurcher were both named to the All-NLC first team as well.
