The IHSAA’s 76th Annual Boys State Swimming Tournament will kick off tonight at 20 sectional sites around the state.
Culver Military Academy and Plymouth will be among a 13-team field at the Warsaw Sectional preliminaries, while Bremen travels to compete in the 10-team field at Penn. Both meets are slated to begin at 5:30 p.m.
Swimmers will be vying for one of eight spots out to the finals or one of the next eight berths out to the consolation round Saturday at 1 p.m. Diving prelims are also slated for Saturday at 9 a.m.
INDIANAPOLIS — Oregon-Davis graduate Scott Blum will be inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame Silver Anniversary Team at the Hall’s annual banquet March 20.
The Hall of Fame banquet will take place at the Primo Banquet Hall at 2615 National Avenue in Indianapolis. There will be a reception from 5 to 6 p.m. ET followed by dinner at 6 p.m. with the induction program set to get underway at 7 p.m.

Starr shines on PUC Senior Night
Plymouth product Alex Starr saved her best for last as she notched a career-high 45 points to help lead the No. 23 Peregrines past No. 16 Olivet Nazarene, 121-113, on Senior Night at Purdue Calumet Wednesday night.
Starr had the hot hand for the Peregrines from the start, scoring 17 of her team’s first 24 points as PUC built up a double-digit lead in the opening seven minutes of the game.
The PUC senior and PHS grad finished 15 of 27 from the field with five trifectas while eclipsing the 1,500-point mark for her career.
