The 48th Annual Bi-County Basketball Tournaments kick off varsity action tonight at four area sites as Bremen's boys and girls hit the road for Culver Community, John Glenn heads to Oregon-Davis, Argos travels to Triton, and LaVille hosts New Prairie.
Girls games are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. EST with the boys games to follow. All subsequent tournament rounds will be hosted by LaVille, with the girls semifinals and consolations scheduled for Thursday and the boys semis and consols slated for Friday. Championships for both tournaments take place Saturday.
PLYMOUTH â€” The American Legion Post 27 Diamond Spyders training facility â€” the Sluggerâ€™s Bullpen â€” will host a skills clinic with Lansing Catholic High School Head Coach Mike Scott on Saturday.
Scott was Coach of the Year in Michigan, and his 2011 team was state runner-up. He is a graduate of Plymouth High School and a member of the 2000 Pilgrims state runner-up team. He was an all-state honorable mention as a senior and three-year All-NLC first team. At Lynn University he was an Academic All-American and team MVP in 2004.

Plymouth freshmen win home tourney
The Plymouth freshmen boys basketball team won their home tournament on Saturday by defeating Tippecanoe Valley in the championship, 57-20.
Braydon Davidson drained six 3-pointers and finished with 20 points to lead the Pilgrims to victory.
The young Pilgrims advanced to the championship with a 36-25 win over Bremen in the first game. Davidson led the team in the opener as well with 10 points while four other players chipped in with six points apiece.
The freshmen are now 8-3 on the season and will host Wawasee on Thursday.
