Panthers shoot past Argos
The Panthers poured in 13 3-pointers, and Argos lost a 73-23 rout at Pioneer Saturday.
Pioneer grabbed a comfortable 39-13 lead at halftime and coasted to the win over the Dragons, who havenâ€™t won on the road since 2009.
Dominic Cataldo and Taylor Ogle scored five points each to lead Argos. Cataldo also finished with five rebounds, and Ogle notched a pair of steals in the loss, which dropped the Dragons to 1-5.

PLYMOUTH â€” Even after a slow start, Plymouth had chances to put the Panthers away.
But instead, NorthWoodâ€™s defense pestered the Class 3A No. 9 Pilgrims into 12 turnovers for 12 points in the final two frames, and the Panthers stole a 69-63 overtime win in a Northern Lakes Conference opener between undefeated teams Friday night at The Rock.

BOURBON â€” The Triton Trojans defense came to play as they beat the New Prairie Cougars 51-27 in a Northern State Conference boys basketball tilt at the Trojan Trench Friday night.
It was a close game for most of the first half with Triton leading by only two at the end of the first quarter with the score 11-9. Both teams were still trying to figure out how best to stop the othersâ€™ offensive attack.
Bremen boys complete sweep
Bremenâ€™s boys basketball team finished off a girls-boys doubleheader sweep of Knox with a 61-45 Northern State Conference victory Friday.
Jacob Box led four Lions in double figures with 17 points. Ethan Pike turned in a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards, while Don Browning and Kai Slough chipped in 10 points apiece.
Bremen evens its record at 3-3 (1-0 NSC).

ARGOS â€” The Argos Lady Dragons suffered through a poor shooting night at Phil Weybright Gymnasium as the North Judson Lady Jays beat them 47-41 Thursday.Â
After playing and shooting so well on Tuesday against Culver Girls Academy, Argos didn't quite have the same intensity level against North Judson and Coach Gary Teel felt that was a contributing factor.Â
PLYMOUTH â€” It was a good night for Rockies wrestling â€” good turnout, good performances and a good result.
Plymouth grapplers got off to a fast start with four first-round pinfalls and a major decision to jump out to an early lead against visiting NorthWood, coasting to an eventual 61-9 Northern Lakes Conference victory in front of a lively home crowd on a special Alumni Night at The Rock.
Plymouth competes in NLC dual at Wawasee
Plymouthâ€™s boys swimming and diving team fell in a Northern Lakes Conference match-up at Wawasee Thursday night, 139-43.
Jack Holloway had bests in the individual medley and breaststroke,Â C.C. Bastardo had a best time in the 50 free and best score in diving, Isaac Rosentreter had a best time in the 100 free, and Chris Whitley recorded a best in the breaststroke.

Lady Pilgrims swim in Syracuse
BOURBON â€” Shana Anderson made her return for Triton Wednesday, and just in the nick of time for the Lady Trojans.
The senior swing player completed a five-game suspension in the first quarter, returning to the floor in the second quarter, but after such a long layover it took her awhile to shake off the rust.
Lions top Knox
Krent Hueni, Stuart Schmeltz and Nolan Filchak recorded four wins each, while two other Bremen swimmers collected three wins apiece, and the Lions handed visiting Knox a 121-55 defeat at home in Bremen Tuesday.
Hueni won the 200 and 100 freestyle races and claimed the prize in the medley relay and 400 free relay, while Schmeltz was a winner in the butterfly and breaststroke and in both the medley and 400 free relays, and Filchak won the individual medley, the 500 and was a winner with Hueni and Schmeltz in both the medley relay and 400 free relay.
