Plymouth takes second at home baseball tourney

May 7, 2012

PLYMOUTH — It was a case of Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde for the Plymouth Pilgrim baseball team in its own invitational tournament on Saturday.
The Pilgrims played well in a 7-5 victory in the first game of the day versus the Penn Kingsmen but after a long lay-off between games they seemed to lose focus and lost in the championship game to Crown Point 14-2.

Pilgrims rally past Minutemen

May 4, 2012

PLYMOUTH — The Plymouth Pilgrims have found some interesting ways to win game at home this season, and Friday’s contest with the Concord Minutemen was no exception.
This time, however, it wasn’t a new way to win.
In a situation eerily similar to last Friday’s 5-4 victory over the NorthWood Panthers, the Pilgrims used a pick-off attempt to score the winning run in a 6-5 Northern Lakes Conference victory at Bill Nixon Field.
