Pilgrims edge Clay in eight

May 14, 2012

PLYMOUTH — The Plymouth baseball team has already seen its share of one- and two-run games this season. Add Saturday’s contest with South Bend Clay to that list.
Pinch hitter Justin Drudge came through with a big hit, and Hayden Skirvin drove him home with the game-winner as the Pilgrims came from behind to down the Colonials 5-4 in eight innings at home at Bill Nixon Field.

Plymouth downs Lady Dragons in hit parade at Argos

May 14, 2012

ARGOS — Offense was in abundance on Saturday when the Plymouth softball team traveled to Argos for an in-county non-conference matchup.
Both teams brought their bats in a matchup that saw 86 hitters come to the plate, 23 runs scored on 27 hits, and runs in every inning by either one or both teams. In the end, it was Plymouth prevailing by a 16-7 score over the Lady Dragons in a contest more competitive than the final score might indicate.
