KOONTZ LAKE — The second event of the Indiana Farm Bureau Tournament Series was held Saturday at Koontz Lake and while the cold, rain, wind and threat of storms kept some anglers at home, record weights were brought to the scales. Hamlet’s Matt Hoffer and Ron Pokrajac brought the heaviest five-fish limit ever recorded in a Farm Bureau Series event to dominate the event. The scales registered 15.10 pounds when the bag of fish was weighed in, breaking the previous record of 14.17 pounds that was caught at Koontz Lake two years ago.
PLYMOUTH — The roar of engines, the smell of race fuel with a hint of popcorn, and a chill in the air filled the Plymouth Speedway on opening night Friday.
It was an exciting night of racing that saw four drivers at the winner’s podium in the Outlaw Late Model, Late Model, Street Stock and Hornet classes.
