NEWBURGH — The Ancilla College volleyball team has improved its upcoming recruiting class with the addition of Mieka Wagner from Castle High School. The dynamic volleyball player will join the Chargers as a defensive specialist and an outside hitter starting in the 2012-13 season.
“Coach Pickerell and I noticed Mieka within minutes of arriving at the Team Indiana Showcase in early December,” said Ancilla coach Lana Singleton. “This kid is a sparkplug. She jumps well, hustles and has a great, bubbly personality. She will be a great addition to our Lady Charger volleyball program.”

Ball State ends season, Davis ends college career
The Ball State men’s basketball team saw its 2011-12 season come to an end as the ninth-seeded Cardinals dropped a 69-63 contest against eighth-seeded Western Michigan Monday night in the first round of the Mid-American Conference Tournament at University Arena.
The loss ends the Cardinals’ season at 15-15 on the year while the Broncos advance to Cleveland for the second round.
Plymouth product Randy Davis knocked down 6 of 6 free throws and dished out four assists in the loss.
