March 16, 2012

PLYMOUTH — Five Plymouth Aquatics Club Sharks earned top spots at the Indiana Northwest Divisional Championship recently at Crown Point High School to claim berths to the Indiana Age Group State Championship meet this weekend in Indianapolis.
Will Serf, a veteran of championship meets, returns to swim the 100 and 200 backstroke and the 200 butterfly. He will also celebrate his 14th birthday on Saturday.
“I believe this is the second time Will and I have celebrated his birthday together on the Natatorium pool deck,” said Sharks head coach Leanne Senter.

Glenn grad Pletcher pursues Boston Marathon

March 16, 2012

WALKERTON — Kyle Pletcher, a 2006 John Glenn grad, spends his days as an accountant with Cardno JFNew in Walkerton. But by night — and in any other time he can find — Pletcher is a runner. Whether it’s on the treadmill at LifePlex in Plymouth, or outside near his home, Pletcher spends about two hours running every day.
Right now, he’s working toward an ambitious goal –the Boston Marathon, one of the most well known racing events in the world. The race attracts hundreds of thousands of spectators and thousands of participants each year.
