PLYMOUTH — After losing a pair of players to injuries at St. Joe, a rough second half Tuesday translated into a slow start in Plymouth’s regular season-closer Thursday.

Bremen clinches share of Northern State Conference
Bremen got off to a fast start with 20 points in the first quarter, and the Lady Lions clinched a share of the Northern State Conference crown with a 59-25 win at Jimtown Thursday.
Jenna Pfeiffer scored 24 points to lead all scorers, her third straight game with 20-plus points, including 35 in a win at Wawasee Tuesday. Kailee Feldman finished with 15 in the regular season-closer.
Jimtown was led by Ally Vicsik’s nine points.
PLYMOUTH — Ancilla College student-athletes continued to do well in the classroom as the college reported some hefty increases in grade point averages for fall athletes over last year’s fall numbers.
The Ancilla Athletic Department reported that 52 of its student-athletes finished the fall 2011 semester with a 3.0 grade point average or better, an increase of 11 students over the same period last year. Twenty-one of these students had a 3.5. GPA and many of those were on the dean’s list. Overall, the fall athlete GPA came in at 2.771 compared to a 2.608 GPA in the fall of 2010.
