INDIANAPOLIS â€” The Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association (ICGSA) announced the Soccer All-State team for 2012. Argos senior striker Jami Patterson was named Third Team All-State and was the lone selection from Marshall County this year.
Argos falls at Tippy Valley
Tippy Valley scored at a better than 52 percent field clip and jumped out to a 39-17 halftime cushion as Argosâ€™ boys basketball team fell 74-46 on the road in Akron Tuesday.
The Dragons were led by Dominic Cataldoâ€™s all-around game of 12 points with five rebounds, four assists and two steals. Taylor Ogle put up 10 points with five rebounds, and Max Bailey finished with eight points as Argos slipped to an 0-2 start.
Lady Trojans bounce back at Bethany Christian
Triton collected 35 points off 26 Bethany Christian turnovers, and the Class A No. 9 Lady Trojans bounced back from a loss to NorthWood with a 57-28 rout on the road in Elkhart Monday.
Tritonâ€™s frontcourt beat out Bethanyâ€™s backcourt in the win as Kylie Mason knocked down three triples on her way to a game-high 17 points, Krystal Sellers put up 14 points with nine rebounds and four assists, and Taylor Hatfield finished with 10 points and six steals.

Culver Communityâ€™s Trent Elliott kicked off his junior season with a combined 49 points in two games as the Cavaliers opened at 2-0 last week.
LaVilleâ€™s Kelsey Gurtner led her teamâ€™s balanced offense with 15 points as the Lady Lancers broke into the win column with a win over Elkhart Christian Tuesday.
PLYMOUTH â€”Â It was an opener to remember for one team, a game to forget for another as Plymouth defeated Bremen on Saturday night at the Rock by an 83-48 final.
From the tip the Pilgrims took the lead and never looked back, but while the final was a bit lopsided the game itself really turned on a specific moment. Bremen was able to battle back to single digits at 39-30 late in the first half, but a Plymouth timeout changed the momentum as the Pilgrims were able to pull away out of the halftime break.
Lady Cavs win 3rd straight
The Lady Cavaliers held visiting North White to only three points in the first half and kept the visitors off the scoresheet in the fourth quarter for a 53-20 win Saturday.
North White stumbled to 0-for-13 from the field against Culverâ€™s defense in the first half, scoring its only points at the free throw line as the Lady Vikings remained winless.
Lions open with win at Argos
Bremen grabbed a 13-7 lead at the end of the first quarter en route to an eventual 60-52 season-opening win on the road at Argos Wednesday night.
Ethan Pike scored a game-high 21 points, and Jacob Box finished with 13 points and two assists for the Lions, who got scoring from seven players in the win.
PLYMOUTH â€”Â Sluggers Bullpen at 500 W. Jefferson St. will begin its new membership period Dec. 1 and is offering membership and other opportunities for the period.
The indoor baseball and softball facility is equipped with two full-sized batting tunnels, automated pitching machines, turf surfaces, natural pitching mounds and a lounge area for players to relax. The upcoming membership period begins Dec. 1 and ends April 30, 2013 with hours of operation Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday by appointment.
