PLYMOUTH â€” The Plymouth High School Boys Basketball Program will be hosting its second annual â€śopenâ€ť practice and Red-White intrasquad scrimmage this Saturday. Admission to the game is free, but the team is accepting sports drink donations.
The practice will run from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. for all boys in grades 9-12. It will be the only practice all year open to the public.
DONALDSON â€” Three Ancilla soccer players received postseason awards in the MCCAA and Region 12, the college announced Wednesday.
Manny Awuku (Hornchurch, UK) and Ignacio Avilles (La Habra, Ca.) were selected to the MCCAA All-Conference 1st team, and team co-captain Matt Willinger (Evansville) received MCCAA Honorable Mention after starting in all 15 games this season and performing as a consistent anchor on the backline.

Starr, Calumet earn 1st win
The Purdue University Calumet womenâ€™s basketball team opened up Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference play with an 80-51 victory over Trinity Christian on Wednesday night.
Purdue Calumet found its range in the opening minutes of the game, knocking down six trifectas in the first 11 minutes to take a 28-14 lead on Plymouth alum Alex Starrâ€™s fourth trey of the night. After a TCC timeout, the Black and Gold would continue to pour it on with a 13-2 run in the next three minutes to take a commanding 41-16 advantage.
