Culver Girls Academy’s Andrijana Cvitkovic tallied 40 points in two days — including 23 points at Peru — as CGA opened the season at 2-0 last week.

Culver Community’s Kayla Shaffer put up a combined 39 points with six assists, 12 rebounds and five steals as the Lady Cavaliers got off to a 2-0 start with wins over South Central and Westville.

Culver moves to 2-0
Culver Community’s girls basketball team moved to 2-0 on the season with a 59-24 rout at Westville Saturday.
Kayla Shaffer finished with 19 points, four assists and three steals, Tatum Schultz scored 17 points with nine rebounds, five assists and five steals, and Donna Zehner put up a double-double of 11 points with 14 rebounds and two steals as the Lady Cavs ran out to a 20-7 lead at the first quarter break.
Culver held Westville to single digits in all four quarters en route to the comfortable win, which dropped Westville to 0-3.

Plymouth girls place 4th, boys 5th in fall NLC all-sports tally

PLYMOUTH — Plymouth High School finished the fall season rated fourth in the girls standings and fifth in the boys standings in the Northern Lakes Conference All-Sports tally, the conference announced recently.
Plymouth’s girls sports teams pushed the school into fourth place with 35 total points, 12 of which came in volleyball and 11 in golf.
