Stevens and Rockies rally past Raiders

PLYMOUTH — Sam Stevens and the Rockie Express kept rolling right along Friday night.
The junior fullback rambled 29 times for 162 yards and two scores, helping Plymouth pull away for a 37-13 victory over Northridge in Northern Lakes Conference football action at The Rockpile.
Clinging to a 15-13 lead early in the third quarter, the 6-foot, 180-pound Stevens found an opening and raced 27 yards to cap off a six-play, 61-yard march to give the Rockies (3-1, 2-0 NLC) a little breathing room.

Lions shut out Trojans, 41-0

BREMEN — Triton Head Coach Rodney Younis knew his team was going to have to put up some points to contend with host Bremen.
Instead the Lions defensive unit created six turnovers while pitching a shutout against the visiting Trojans, and the result was a lopsided 41-0 Northern State Conference win at home Friday at Don Bunge Field.

Falcons run over LaVille for 50-7 win

LAKEVILLE – If you blinked during the first half Friday night, you probably missed a John Glenn score or two.
The visiting Falcons, who crossed the goal line in each of their seven first-half possessions, fired off 50 points before the break — highlighted by four touchdowns from superstar senior running back Josh Anderson – en route to a 50-7 Northern State Conference football win over LaVille at Lancer Field.

Hogan powers Cavs to win at New Prairie
Culver Community senior running back Kevin Hogan ground out 212 yards for four touchdowns, and the Cavaliers claimed a Northern State Conference win on the road at New Prairie Friday, 34-26.
Hogan averaged better than 17 yards per carry as he ran amok at New Prairie, scoring on touchdown runs of 84, 34, 1 and 61 yards.
