ARGOS — Argos’ scoring ability was a question mark at the start of the season.
If Tuesday’s opener is any indication, question answered.
The Argos girls soccer team opened its season with a 6-0 rout of Elkhart Christian Academy at home Tuesday.
Jami Patterson opened the scoring on an assist from Shelby Sanders at the 10-minute mark, and Stefany Parrish, Katie Williams and Sammie Hopkins each scored unassisted goals to put the host up 4-0 at the half.
Volleyball
Plymouth loses opener to LaPorte
Plymouth dropped its volleyball opener to powerhouse LaPorte 25-13, 25-13, 25-18 at home Tuesday.
Marissa German led the team in kills with six, while Haley Harrell led in digs and assists with 14 and nine, respectively.
German also recorded three digs and a block assist, while Amber Redinger recorded two kills and an ace, and Harrell also served up an ace.
Plymouth will host Penn at 6 p.m. Thursday.
