Auction to help Rockies football

July 27, 2011

PLYMOUTH — Rockies fans are ready for some football, and just in time, WTCA-AM 1050 will be holding an auction to raise money for the program.
Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. the station will host a live auction to raise money for Rockies football. Last year the auction raised $6000 for football at Plymouth High School, and this year’s items will try to top that.
“We don’t really have a goal amount for this year,” said Tonda Ellis, one of the organizers of the event. “Obviously we hope we can exceed last year’s total.”

FORT WAYNE — For one it was the first honor of its kind in a long career. For another, it’s likely to be the last.
